Dental Stem Cell Biobanking, From Bench to Bedside
Healthcare Professionals Network for Egypt (HPNE) and Elbeltagy Therapeutics Co. are collaborating to establish the prototype Dental Pulp Stem Cell (DPSC) Biobank in Egypt.
Elbeltagy Therapeutics Co. is a biotechnology startup based in Mansoura, Egypt, focused on advancing regenerative medicine through dental-derived mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) and engineered extracellular vesicles (EVs), with a clear path toward clinical translation.

The DPSC Biobank initiative is designed as an ethically governed, sustainable platform for the isolation, preservation, and controlled distribution of high-quality stem cells and their EVs. The objective is to support translational research and enable future therapeutic applications.
Our long-term vision is to build a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)-ready DPSC biobank that serves as a national and regional reference center. We aim to position Egypt as an active contributor to global regenerative medicine and to develop a scalable model that can be replicated in other developing countries.
By aligning with international biobanking standards and networks, this initiative seeks to connect Egyptian innovation to the global regenerative medicine ecosystem.
